This cute semi-floppy tan doll hat looks like it was crocheted or knotted with sturdy coated straw or raffia material, smoother to the touch than regular raffia or jute but not plastic-like. It has an adjustable curled brim and braided, beaded chin cord. A matching braided band with bow encircles the crown. At the front is a frou frou embellishment consisting of feathery iridescent tinsel-like strands, pink composition bead stems, a decorative plastic, metal, and rhinestone button, and a circle of tiny faux pearls.
It's somewhat stretchy - the base of the crown is about 4 to 5 inches diameter and will stretch more if needed. The hat is shown on an 18 inch composition Shirley Temple doll. There are no tears, holes, or stains but it may need a light steaming to hold your preferred shape.
