This Record Guild of America 6-1/2 inch "picture disc" record was marketed to children in the late 1940s to early 1950s. Both sides feature 1800s blackface minstrel music. Blue Tail Fly (Jimmy Crack Corn) features an illustration of a slave boy swatting flies away from his master's horse. The reverse side is Carry Me Back to Old Virginny, a song that romanticized slave life on the plantation. The 78 rpm record is in excellent condition with no chips or scratches.
