A pair of small nineteenth century engraved silver plated picture frames from a northern Utah estate. The smaller frame with the square picture opening is 4-5/8" high by just over 3-1/2 inches wide. The picture opening is 1-1/4 by 2-3/4 inches. The ornate openwork design features flowers, berries, and a trellis. The back has a hinged stand which is marked as shown in the last photo. My research indicates it's an Ottoman Empire silver hallmark.

The other unmarked frame has a heart shape center opening and is a little larger at 5-1/4 by 3-7/8 inches. The back stand is fixed but flexible. It's decorated with Brite Cut style Art Nouveau flowers and flourishes. There are small areas of plate loss as shown, mostly to the backs. I only gave them a quick polish. Price is for the pair.
