This antique European enameled cast iron hand crank food mill and grater was made in Spain by the Elma Company in the 1920s. They were more well known for their coffee grinders but manufactured all types of manual kitchen items. It has a tall graniteware or enamelware coated hopper and an elaborate scrolled cast iron base, and was meant to mount on the edge of a table or countertop. The gray and white speckled enamel finish is in good condition with only minor chipping. The ornate cast iron handle and crank has lost some of its white finish over the years but it's still in working condition. There is some rust inside the steel grater bin.
