This vintage milk glass lamp shade was typically used on torchiere or floor lamps to hold the decorative shade above the lamp column and light bulbs - the paper or fabric shade would rest on the top rim of the glass. They can also be used alone without an exterior shade. It's made of heavy white milk glass and has an attractive bell shape with thin vertical ribbing. The shade is 5-3/4 inches high by 8 inches diameter with a 2-1/4 inch diameter fitter base (exterior edge to edge). In excellent condition, clean with original gloss and no damage.
