An 8 piece set of colorfully decorated Chinese dragon and phoenix dishes and a teapot from the Canton Cafe on Salt Lake City's Main Street, operating from the 1940s into the mid 1970s. My very first introduction to American style Chinese food was at the Canton - when shopping downtown with my mother, we would almost always stop for lunch there.
Included are a four cup teapot, four saucers, and three handle-less cups, 3 inches diameter. There's also a Chinese porcelain soup spoon that came with the dishes. The teapot and spoon are the only pieces not marked with the restaurant name and address. All are in very good condition with no damage, though the teapot has some tea staining in the bottom. Will ship double boxed and well wrapped.
