Three issues of Fortune Magazine from 1938, an eventful and historic year for America and the world. Fortune was known for their Art Deco illustrations from elite modern artists of the era. They're large, thick 14 by 11 inch 122 to 160 page magazines printed on heavy paper stock with economic, industrial, political, and then-current world events articles.

All three are intact with no torn or missing pages, no writing or stains, no binding issues. There is of course minor, light age and handling wear to the covers. Just a few highlights from each issue:

August 1938: Cover art by Paolo Garretto, "Death by Tariff" article, long article on Czechoslovakia which was soon to be invaded by Hitler the following month.

September 1938: Cover art Thomas Benrimo, other artwork by Allen Saalburg (Canada the Siren article), Boris Artzybasheff (corn products industry). Other articles about Polaroid, William Morris Agency, and Curtiss-Wright's production of aircraft to be used in World War II.

October 1938: Cover art by Miguel Covarrubias, a people's revolt in Mexico with artwork by Diego Rivera and Carlos Merida, an article titled The G-D Labor Board about the National Labor Relations Act.
