This 25 inch square antique stove board cover is made of machine stamped and embossed tin, elaborately decorated with an Art Nouveau floral design. Designed to fit over wood planking (usually stamped with the company name, Wabash Screen Door), the cover was a decorative way to protect a wooden floor from coal or wood stove embers, soot, and heat. The stove cover has a few minor bends and some wear to the decoration of course - it's pretty flexible and not hard to flatten out.
