Two petite vintage porcelain bird flower frogs or flower holders, made in Japan. They're finished in the iridescent or lusterware coloring that is usually associated with the 1930s, but they could have been made closer to the mid 20th century.

The little red and yellow songbird with iridescent orange stump is about 2-1/2" diameter with five stem holes. It has a red stamped Made in Japan mark on the bottom. The parrot frog is 3-1/4" high by 2-1/2 inches wide. The black tree stump has 6 stem openings. It's unmarked but very close in composition and decoration to the yellow bird. This one has a tiny paint skip at the top of his head, otherwise both are in very good vintage condition.
