Original full size Montgomery Ward Fall and Winter catalog for 1952 into 1953. There are 1044 pages of merchandise. "Monkey Wards" as my Mom called them sold everything - clothing, domestics and linens, tools, luggage, jewelry, personal care items, hardware, musical instruments, toys, furniture, horse saddles, guns, farm equipment, appliances large and small, every type of household item imaginable, and yes, even the proverbial kitchen sink.
The catalog is an excellent research tool for collectors and dealers of just about anything available to consumers in the early 1950s. There's a thorough index so you can easily find what you're looking for. One thing I noticed while looking through the pages is the Western Cowboy trend of the era, in everything from clothing to dishes and household goods, even furniture. The book is in good condition with binding intact. A few of the thin paper pages have small tears but none are torn out. One tear to the back cover (2nd photo, lower left). Typical mild age yellowing. The catalog weighs 5 pounds before boxing and will be shipped media mail unless otherwise requested. Choose Ground Advantage when checking out - weight has been adjusted to match Media rates.
