A sweet square ceramic combination wall pocket and planter with a colorful dimensional applied bird and flowers. It's unmarked but probably made in 1940s to 1950s Japan. The glossy glaze has faint, all-over crazing and there's a very narrow chip to to back of one top leaf, visible only from behind. The interior shows no signs of plant dirt or sediment. 4-1/2 inches high by 4" wide.
