This 1950s lithographed metal snack or TV tray has a picture of the Lawrence Welk band bordered by musical notes, champagne goblets, bubbles, and the phrase "The Champagne Musicmakers". It was part of a series of four different trays promoting the Lawrence Welk television program. Stenciled on the back of the black tray in white is advertising for an Idaho bakery "Jack & Jean's Bakery, Idaho Falls, Twin Falls, Boise". The tray was probably used for serving there rather than given away as a premium. Apparently the trays were manufactured in Idaho as they're marked in tiny print ŠIKP Mer. Ida.- abbreviation for Meridian.
There's a little finish wear to the black edges and minor scuffing on the back, but the graphics are still very nice with little wear. There are a couple of tiny dings to the metal consistent with age and use, nothing distracting or noticeable. Approximate measurements 14 by 9 inches. Three identical trays are available, price is per tray.
