This never-used roll of expandable silver colored metal aluminum mesh is 12 inches wide by 36 inches long, according to the package (I did not open it up to verify the length). Impossible to find nowadays, it was used to wrap candles, wreaths, and other Christmas decorations. The pinecone gnome figures that were so prolific in the 1950s were often perched in wire swings and sleighs covered in this metal mesh. I'm sure there are many other uses for it in craft and miniature work.

The label is dated 1954 and says Made In U.S.A., Craft House Products, Assemblix Inc. division of Dorothy Flicek Industries Inc. The old tape holding the label around the roll is yellowed and dry and the labels have typical storage wear but the mesh is in perfect mint condition. Three rolls are available, price is per roll.
