A wonderful early 1900s figural white opal (milk) glass sleigh mustard dish from Westmoreland Specialty Glass. The lid features a baby chick hatching from a nested egg. I found conflicting information in trying to research the date of production, but it was made sometime between 1902 and 1906. Westmoreland called their milk glass "white opal" in the early part of the last century.
The sleigh measures 5-1/4 by 3-1/2 inches by 4-1/4" high to the top of the lid. The original gold gilt and yellow paint has some wear, as would be expected on a 120 year old cold painted glass piece. There are no chips, cracks, hairlines, or other problems.
