Adult craft kits were popular in the late 1940s and 1950s. In addition to the ubiquitous needlework and model kits, there were kits for copper tooling, mosaic art, and paint by number. This pair of tole trays came from Tole Craft kits. Both large black metal trays have similar flower bouquet and basket arrangements and came from the same Idaho estate. The scalloped tray is 19 by 15 inches, the straight rectangular tray is 17-3/4 by11-3/4 inches. Both have metal hanging loops on the backs for wall display. Both trays have wear, more to the cookie sheet style tray.
