A set of five full size 10-5/8 inch dinner plates in the Franciscan Desert Rose dinnerware pattern by Gladding McBean, made in the USA in the early 1950s. They're all in excellent condition with shiny glaze and no chips, fleabites, or crazing. When tilted to the light you can see the occasional random short, super shallow white stacking or utensil mark to the glaze only. As old as they are, these plates were obviously used very rarely. Four have the half-moon mark with 1951 date code, one has a round mark. Despite the two different marks, there is no discernible difference in the decoration, size, or embossing.
