A pair of stoneware mixing bowls in Marcrest's Brown Daisy or Daisy Dot pattern. The pattern is a homey rustic design with alternating scallops, lines, and five-petal daisies, made by Western Stoneware in the 1950s as a grocery store premium line.

The smaller bowl is 6-1/4" diameter by 3-1/4 inches deep. It has stir marks and minor glaze wear in the very bottom. The other bowl is a little larger, at 7-1/4" diameter by 3-3/4 inches deep. It also has stir marks in the bottom, no other damage. The small bowl is marked USA only, the large bowl has the impressed Mar-Crest mark shown in the last picture.
