This attractive hand made pottery bowl from Mexico has a stylized organic leaf design with subtle geometric elements in the background. The high glazed colors are dark green on sanded khaki (very fine sand-like speckles). The clay is a deep rosy red. The ruffled bowl is nearly 9 inches diameter by 3-1/2 inches high. The bottom is signed "H. Mex. Lead Free, Casa Gamez". The rim edge is very thinly glazed, resulting in tiny pinpoint glaze skips and nicks - see last 2 pictures.
