A very attractive pair of hand wrought solid copper bookends, made by Gregorian Copper in the 1950s. They're about 7 inches high by 5" wide with curled hammered leaves and tendrils framing the center lily blossom flower holders. Both are signed at the back extensions "Gregorian Copper 214 Hand Hammered".
Much of the green felt at the bottoms is worn. One of the back extensions rocks a bit but is perfectly stable with books on it. It looks as though the bookends spent a long period of time in dusty storage. I've rinsed them off but didn't clean them - you can safely use diluted Dawn or similar dishwashing soap to clean them up. The last photo shows the matching candle holder I have listed elsewhere in the shop. I'm offering a 10% discount if the candlestick and bookends are purchased together.
