This Art Deco beehive shaped, ringed solid copper 2-quart whistling tea kettle was made by Revere Copper & Brass Company in the early 1930s (the Rome mark on the underside was used from approximately 1928 to 1932). It has a Bakelite bird or chick cap or finial on the spout which whistles when the water boils. The handle Bakelite too but it's actually enamel-coated metal.
The kettle holds water and is still functional but it does show its nearly 80-year age. There are some small dings along the lower edge and shallow crease below the spout (first photo). The bird whistler has a hairline crack at one side. The patina is original.
