I believe this set of eleven nice quality vintage dinner napkins are made of knit silk or silk blend - the content is definitely natural fiber, not man-made. They are off-white or cream colored, about 16 inches square, with a soft hand and wonderful draping quality but very little stretch. Each has a lacy openwork border near the hems on all four sides. I don't think they were ever used - there are no spots, stains, or snags. This is the second set of napkins like this I've had - both sets came from different Idaho estates, four years apart. I didn't wash these because they don't need it, but I did hand launder the others with no issues.
