This chromed steel electric lighted star Christmas tree top decoration was the first type patented by Noma in 1924. Five C-6 type light bulbs fit into the Bakelite sockets to form the star points. The center is embossed with the phrase A Merry Christmas. The pigtail plug at the end of the silk-wrapped cord is designed to screw into the end socket of a C6 light string.
The star measures 6-1/2 inches wide by 7-1/2 inches long including the clothespin type clamp at the bottom. The metal star has some corrosion to the chrome as shown in the closeup photos - one side more than the other. The star lights up fine as you can see, and the threads of the cloth covered wires are not frayed or split.
The buyer will receive two different sets of C6 bulbs - the original ribbed white Mazda bulbs and five additional blue GE bulbs which were found inside the box along with the topper. The box has quite a bit of wear, age discoloration, and taped side flaps. As would I if I were more than 90 years old.
