This pretty late 1950s cordé beaded satchel purse was made by Lumered. It's 7 inches long from frame to bottom by 7-1/2" wide at the top, 9 inches wide at the bottom. The design is a checkerboard of embroidered pink flowers with green leaves overlaid with clear dew beads against a cream beaded background.
The cordé rope handle has a 6 inch drop. The frame is linen textured brass with the script initial B at both side hinges. The clasp is studded with a faux peal surrounded by six tiny plastic coral, turquoise, and black beads. The interior is cream colored silk. There's one side pocket inside, marked in gold script "By Lumured Petite Bead Made in USA" with a patent number I cannot read.
The purse is clean though the silk lining a small rust mark below the frame. The exterior is in good condition with no tears, damage, or missing beads.
