This mica glittered paper litho Christmas Advent calendar was made by Haco in post-war Western Germany between 1947 and 1951. It's unused and comes with its original paper storage mailer envelope. The 8 by 11 inch calendar features a busy scene of shepherds worshiping at the stable where Jesus was born with lambs, angels, and barn animals all around. The 24 windows, to be lifted up one each day in December through Christmas eve, reveal a Bible verse having to do with the Christmas story.
Some of the windows have the perforations gently separated but none are creased or have been lifted fully, most are still sealed. The calendar is marked Haco 279 and Printed in W. Germany. It's in excellent condition, the envelope has some age yellowing.
