These sweet ceramic candle climbers or huggers were made by Lefton in the 1950s to early 1960s. They're 3-3/4 inches tall, standing in a prayerful pose with clasped hands, slightly bowed heads, and closed long-lashed eyes. Each has yellow blond hair done up in a ponytail with a ring or halo of hand painted flowers at the tops of their heads. Their long gowns are white trimmed with green. The labels have been partially removed but there's no mistaking the distinctive red and gold foil shapes for anything but Lefton. The ring at the back of one angel has been skillfully repaired. Angel candle climbers are typically displayed at Christmas time, but these can be left out all year.
