Text and photos copyright 2017 Teri Rosvall. Do not use without permission.

These two wonderful and very scarce vintage cotton muslin fabric flour sacks once held 25 pounds of Bannock Chief Flour from the Pocatello Flour Mills of Pocatello, Idaho. The center graphic is the head of an Indian in full feathered headdress, 8-1/2 inches diameter. Exact age is unknown but there is no zip code on either bag and Pocatello Flour Mills is no longer in business.

Both fabric sacks are approximately 12-1/2 by 25 inches. They are complete and uncut with side stitching intact and needle holes at the tops. If you reach inside and feel to the bottoms, you'll find there's still flour dust inside. The bags have never been washed or laundered. The color intensity and hues are accurate on my monitor (if not a little light) but of course what you see may be different.

They've been in storage for a long time and have wrinkles and a slight musty, linen-closet smell. Both have a little soil and staining as shown. Price is for the pair.
