Four antique children's valentines, dating from the first decade of the 1900s. The card with the little girl sitting among roses is embossed and glossy, about 3-3/4 inches high.

The polar bear valentine is 4-1/4 inches long. An unpunched loop at the top with the number 5 allows the recipient to hang it from a cord or string. Or you can fold back the tabs on the bottom to make it stand up.

The other two valentines are mechanical. The 4 inch cartoonish cat with huge brushy whiskers and button-like eyes is hinged to move back and forth. The mail carrier dog swivels to show a smiling face or a gruff face. It has a stand-up post at the back.

Also included is an embossed die-cut Easter greeting card from the early 1900s. Litho printed on heavy embossed card stock, it features two children under an arch of blue flowers. The boy holds a lamb while the girl offers it some greenery to eat. When you pull down the diecut front panel, there's an Easter verse. The card is neither marked nor signed but there are some tiny penciled number markings on the back.
