I bought this 1930s Vidrio mixing jar back in the 1990s for my own collection. The electric cord was completely trashed - cut, taped, and crumbling, so I cut it off as I had no plans to actually use it. The top unscrews to access the cord so it can be easily rewired. The 3-legged Art Deco style green uranium glass jar is about 4-1/2 inches high and holds 16 ounces. Cup and ounce markings are embossed on the interior sides.
The motor and beater top are metal, painted jadeite or depression green. The paint is in good condition considering the nearly 90-plus year age, though there is some light rust on the unpainted steel handle. The glass jar is in excellent condition with just one tiny, shallow fleabite flake on the interior rim but no stains or scratches. The bottom is marked Vidrio Products Corp., Chicago Ill., Cat # E30, Pat. No. 1935857. The patent number was issued in 1933.
